| Prawn Jalfrezi (Sauted Prawn) |
Ingredients :
- 250 gms Prawn - shells removed and cleaned
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- pepper powder - to sprinkle
- 1/4 cup onion cubes
- 1/4 cup tomato cubes
- 1/4 cup capsicum cubes
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- 10 curry leaves
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
Method :
- Marinate prawn with lemon juice, turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp red chili powder and little salt. Keep aside for 10 mins.
- Heat oil in a pan or kadhai and tamper mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and chopped onions. Fry for few mins.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Mash the pulp. Add marinated prawn, red chili powder and salt to taste.
- Cook for 5 mins. Add onion, tomato and capsicum cubes. Cook for another 5-10 mins. Garnish with chopped coriander and remove from the heat. Serve hot with rice or roti.
